Workday HCM Functional Analyst

Job summary:

The Heritage Group is actively seeking a Workday HCM Functional Analyst to join our growing HR Shared Services team. Reporting to the Sr Manager, Enterprise HR Systems, this position serves as a functional expert for the HR, Talent, Payroll, and Benefits processes for Workday HCM. Currently, The Heritage Group is working to implement Workday to replace PeopleSoft HRIS.

This role works in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization to maintain an exceptional employee experience with Workday HCM. This role is responsible for supporting and optimizing HR systems through troubleshooting, analysis, researching new functionality and implementing system solutions to support the strategic direction of HR Shared Services.

*This position will be fully remote, with the anticipation of travel quarterly to our Indianapolis, IN office locations. Candidates residing in the Eastern & Central time zone preferred*

Responsibilities:

• Align with colleagues throughout the business to develop best in class HRIS solutions to serve business needs
• Provide support for Workday and other related systems such as troubleshooting, resolving HRIS performance issues, maintaining configuration of business rules and workflows, and ensuring overall data integrity
• Partner with business leads and colleagues to update and organize activities tied to the HRIS, including HCM, talent management, performance, compensation, succession planning, payroll, learning, onboarding, and benefits
• Serve as subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities
• Research and recommend improvements to the existing system, prioritize backlog configurations, and recommend new tools or software programs to streamline processes while enhancing the end-user experience and enabling business
• Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use Workday
• Configure, test, validate and implement Business Process changes in Workday
• Assist in testing of integrations, security, annual events
• Provides Tier III system support for technical issues related to the use or functionality of Workday; acts as the escalation point for Workday process or configuration issues raised by end users
• Conducts root cause analysis to determine an appropriate action plan for break/fix and support issues
• Builds and supports Workday reports using various Workday reporting tools
• Consistently seeks after and drives process efficiencies that remove administration effort from end users and functional team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
• 3 + years' Workday system support and administration experience required
• 3+ years of professional Human Resources experience required
• Ability to uphold confidentiality to the highest standard
• Must be a collaborative team player
• Must demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
• Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with both technical and end users
• Ability to own and drive efforts to standardize, optimize, and simplify processes and technical solutions
