Waste Stream Management Operations Intern

Heritage Interactive Services (HIS) is a total by-product management company. We partner to design innovative program that deliver cost saving and convenience through a centralized waste management program. This is supported by data to help fuel future decisions. We customize our program to east customer's needs.

Paid Summer Internship: May 15th – August 4th

• Intern pay is non-negotiable and is calculated based on current academic class standing $17/hour (Freshman) - $20/hour (Senior), etc.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensures Health & Safety are the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
• Small amount of direct customer site management.
• Working as part of the Operations team with no specific customer assignment.
• Potential new customer implementation support.
• Interact with suppliers in support of new and existing programs,
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure data/billing accuracy.
• Prepare monthly/annual waste activity reports.
• Review supplier and customer invoices for accuracy as assigned.
• Enter and maintain information within Salesforce for opportunity tracking.
• Create items /database for customer baseline process.
• Managing Opps Team Data
  • Update and adding corrections
  • Working with Opps Team to develop revenue and margin improvement
  • Through opportunity identification using system data
• Some travel will be required about 10 to 15%

Relevant Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years of relative customer service or environmental experience preferred.
• Must be a current undergraduate Junior or Senior
