Visual Communications Intern

The Heritage Group is looking for an eager Visual Communications or Graphic Design student who is ready for hands-on experience in various mediums, working across the business.  This internship will provide a student with the opportunity to be creative, collaborate and build relationships with various levels of employees, and gain meaningful experience by making their own contributions to the organization.  With various projects throughout the summer, an ideal candidate will need to be ready to switch gears from day to day, prioritize, and handle multiple deadlines.  Below are some possible projects this intern would work on:

• Create different types of presentations and visual materials for various groups within The Heritage Group, including PowerPoint, Prezi, and visual summaries of data provided
• Collaborate with a team to create complex, visual representation of data
• Help to design new branding material for career fairs, internship program, and other employment marketing materials
• Create storage system for PowerPoints, photos, and videos; to include naming schemes, tagging, and organization of materials
• Take photos for various events, workshops, and headshots

The ideal candidate would be the following:

• Current Junior or Senior pursuing bachelor's degree in Visual Communication or Graphic Design
• Demonstrated experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop; Microsoft PowerPoint; and other creative softwares/platforms
• Experience with photography; portrait photography a plus
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage several projects at once
• Ability to take information from brainstorm sessions/meetings and create a visual representation
• Professional and positive attitude, ability to take direction and feedback from various sources
• Works well independently and can collaborate with individuals of varying degrees of responsibilities; including other interns, professionals, and executive level members
