Undergraduate Pavement Materials Engineering Intern - Summer 2024
Heritage Research Group (HRG) is seeking a qualified student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Materials Science Engineering to fill the position of Pavement Materials Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2024. This hands-on position in our construction materials laboratory partners with a team of engineers, scientists and technicians that specialize in asphalt mixture design and research focused on pavement mixtures.
Timeline:
Paid Summer Internship: May 13th - August 9th
- Intern pay is non-negotiable and is calculated based on current academic class standing $17/hour (Freshman) - $20/hour (Senior), etc.

The Center + Heritage Research Group Lab

- This position is on-site with no hybrid or virtual options
Director:
Jay Miller, Technical Director of Pavement Research
Job Responsibilities:
- Achieve laboratory test proficiency in the construction materials lab with standard aggregate, asphalt, hot mix asphalt, or cold mixtures
- Gain exposure to roadway construction projects with an emphasis on construction materials, specifically asphalt pavements
- Manage and present a research project related to pavement materials under the guidance of the pavement research team

Education/Experience Requirements:
- College Freshman/Sophomore/Junior/Senior actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Materials Science Engineering
