Total Rewards UI/UX Intern

The Total Rewards team is responsible for the strategy, design, and communication of total rewards programs at The Heritage Group, which includes compensation, benefits and well-being. As a Total Rewards UI/UX Intern, you will lead the design and creation of a well-being website for The Heritage Group employees using UI concepts and gamification. You will have the opportunity to apply and expand your knowledge to assist with real business challenges, connect and build relationships with leaders and colleagues, and enhance skills that are transferable to any professional setting.

Timeline: May 15th - August 4th (Full-Time)

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and create a web and potential mobile-based well-being application for The Heritage Group employees using UI concepts and gamification
• Design UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how site functions and looks
• Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, banner ads, marketing materials)
• Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs
• Take smart risks and champion new ideas
• Partner with the Total Rewards Team to maintain and update content on the new well-being website
• Collaborates with other key stakeholders and colleagues across the business
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems

Relevant Skills:

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well independently and with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated, with demonstrated high level of responsibility and professionalism
• Ability to exercise discretion with confidential data

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Junior, Senior, or Master's student actively pursuing a degree in UX design, computer science, multimedia, human-computer interaction, or related field
• Ability to think critically and work independently or collaborate with a team
• A wide degree of creativity, openness, and latitude when approaching problems
• Experience with Basic HTML5, CSS3, Javascript or other related software
