Job Summary

It is an exciting time at The Heritage Group. Work is actively underway to implement new HCM Technology to support the continued growth of both HR Shared Services best practices and Talent Strategy across the enterprise.

The Talent Strategy Manager will support the continued implementation of Talent Strategy and strategy maturation over time. Aiming to continuously elevate the employee experience, this role will support the build and run of programs that drive sustainable business value and unlock employee potential. Areas of focus will include performance management, the ongoing growth and development of people leaders, and employee career pathways. People are our greatest asset and an innovative approach to talent management will help The Heritage Group (THG) attract, grow, and retain good, hardworking people and deliver key business results.

This role will report to THG Director of Talent.

***This position is for a 3-year or project completion

fixed-term basis. This will be considered a full-time, benefits-eligible position for that period ***

Essential Job Functions

  • Engage broadly with employees at all levels of the organization with the goal of building trust and knowledge of current Talent practices
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to develop employee communications, tools, and resources to support the integration and adoption our talent management framework and related programs
  • Leverage change impact analyses to inform Workday implementation roadmap timelines, anchoring on the pace of change and capability enablement for managers and employees, and partnering to build supplemental HCM change management resources as needed
  • Partner with Learning & Development to ensure the Workday roadmap is supported with the proper learning journeys to further enable successful HCM adoption and utilization over time
  • Analyze the effectiveness of existing tools and resources to support growth and development, and recommending changes as needed to maximize effectiveness
  • Serve as a trusted resource to HRBP(s), Directors of Talent, Change Management Leader and VP, Talent, ensuring business goals are understood and core to all talent management work.
  • Build strong relationships with HRBP(s) and P+C Team to understand needs and align with overall HR
  • Regularly assess our talent management practices and calibrate with industry and academic best practices in alignment with our recently developed talent management framework

Travel:

Willingness to travel less than 20% of the time of which some may be overnight.

Knowledge and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of best-in-class Talent Management practices and previous experience supporting talent development initiatives across a variety of roles. The candidate will have the ability to work with and act in utmost confidentiality with sensitive leadership information, and to act ethically in all situations. The right candidate must be an agent for change that is able to think strategically with a high level of organization and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adjust communication for a variety of audiences is a must.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey a message clearly while actively listening and driving proper discussion where applicable

  • Successful track record in supporting cross-functional project teams, communicating the objective, timeline, deliverables, results, etc.

Requirements and Relevant Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, OD/Leadership, Human Resources or related field required with a minimum of 5 years of related experience in talent or human resources.
  • In lieu of degree, a minimum of 10 years of related experience or training in talent management practices and execution at multiple levels in an organization.
  • Proven track record of supporting cross-functional project teams, communicating the objective, timeline, deliverable and results in a Talent Management field.

Work Environment

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and other office- related equipment. Willingness to work in an office setting or in a hybrid model.
