Sr Data Analyst

The Sr Data Analyst will report to the Director of Finance of US Aggregates and be part of a team dedicated to the financial well-being of US Agg's operations. The Sr Data Analyst will support the organization by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting information to improve business efficiency and performance. The ideal candidate has experience with ERP systems, financial systems, financial analysis and an interest in solving problems through data driven analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Build models/scorecards/dashboards for data driven decision making, looking to automate processes where applicable
• Create analytical strategies to solve business problems - involving understanding the business problem, identifying relevant data and performance metrics, gathering and summarizing data meaningfully
• Use data and business knowledge to find new ways to answer key business questions
• Consistently provide input on how to improve internal efficiencies; grow knowledge and be aware of best practices and market trends
• Present findings to key internal business stakeholders, including C-Level executives, for validation, buy-in and approval
• Financial, analytical, and strategic support on special projects, lean six sigma projects, ad-hoc, and long-term business needs
• Partner with Operations, Performance and Engineering teams with business excellence analysis and tracking
• Deliverables must be high-quality with strong attention to detail

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• 1-3 years+ of relevant experience in finance or data analytics role preferred
• Degree with a quantitative focus such as: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Management, Business Intelligence, Statistics or related degree
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required; BI visualization and/or SQL strongly preferred; Alteryx experience preferred
• Lean Six Sigma experience preferred; minimum yellow belt certification
• Can effectively present data in a way that speaks to the target audience
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively using broad range of influence styles to drive desired results
• Excellent communication skills; good with documenting processes, not afraid to ask questions and challenge the status quo
• High degree of self-confidence, poise, maturity, discretion, and diplomacy
• Self-motivated and passionate with a drive for success enthusiastic about delivering high-quality work and making a difference in your function, our company, and our industry
• Have a strong ownership mentality and drive for results
• Sound problem solver who can quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
