Senior Managing Attorney

Job Summary:

Heritage Construction + Materials (HC+M) is looking for a Senior Managing Attorney to join our growing team. The Senior Managing Attorney will provide legal advice and services in support of the entire organization and its affiliated entities as a member of our in-house legal team. They will also provide strategic legal advice and counsel regarding human resources, labor relations, contract needs, and mergers/acquisitions.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Act as a legal advisor to the HC+M companies, in partnership with our Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Counsel.
  • Develop strong, collaborative partnerships with operations, safety, finance, and human resources.
  • Draft, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including construction contracts, service agreements, property leases, and supply agreements.
  • Develop and implement compliance policies across the HC+M companies.
  • Develop and implement forms and document management protocol across the HC+M companies.
  • Manage insurance claims and litigation.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from accredited law school and licensed or qualified to practice law in Indiana.
  • 8-12 years of combined law firm and in-house legal experience.
  • Litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Employment law, labor relations and union experience desired.
