Job Summary:

We are looking for a creative, self-starter who is proactive and eager to find solutions. As a supportive partner to the Marketing & Communications Director, the Senior Internal Communications Manager will work on both strategic and hands-on projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with writing, editing, and project management and should be familiar with creating actionable communications plans and processes that bring people together ' as well as executing plans with precision. We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and enjoys making the complex simple. Organization, flexibility, and adaptability are key.

As a specialist in internal communications, the ideal candidate will serve as a brand ambassador and employee advocate, creating experiences that connect our people to our values and make them feel like part of the Heritage Family. He or she will have a genuine interest in learning more about our people, companies, and industries and sharing that information with key audiences.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and members of other Heritage companies to create and manage strategic communications plans and campaigns.
  • Partner with corporate communications and marketing colleagues across all Heritage companies to ensure brand alignment.
  • Serve as a loyal, dependable partner to the Marketing & Communications Director, team members and colleagues.
  • Create materials that are interesting to read and easily digestible by a diverse employee population. The materials will address multiple generations and varying levels of literacy.
  • Write, edit and distribute internal communications, including but not limited to quarterly internal magazine and weekly company updates email.
  • Partner with marketing to develop multi-media materials such as guides, video scripts, emails, postcards, flyers, etc.
  • Own and drive creative workflow process from project initiation, execution, approvals, production, proofing, tracking, and archiving.
  • Stay up to date on marketing technologies and industry trends in employee communication.
  • Be part of the development and implementation of an employee intranet site, eventually creating and managing information on this platform to drive long-term adoption.
  • Develop analytics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategy and level of employee understanding and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or similar field
  • Experience managing multiple projects within a longer-term communication plan
  • 5+ years of internal communications or related experience (demonstrated success in improving audience engagement)
