Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

You will assist the Senior Corporate Manger with various strategic initiatives and reporting functions. In addition, you will have the primary day-to-day responsibility for managing the accounting and finance functions for a specific company or group of companies.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform monthly accounting and prepare financial statements for holding and international companies
  • Review joint venture financial statements for significant variances and obtain explanations from joint venture partners
  • Coordinate with international team to ensure compliance and timely fillings

 

    • Assist in preparation of the corporate budget and allocations
    • Prepare monthly corporate variance analysis report
    • Assist with the enterprise planning management system

 

  • Assist in various financial consolidations and other projects

 

 

Requirements and Relevant Skills:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related discipline. 
  •  4 years in public accounting (preferred) or 5 years in corporate accounting position
  • CPA Certification or similar accounting qualification preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, especially MS Excel.
  • Experience in MS Dynamics (Great Plains), Host Analytics or other ERP systems.
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to interpret and assess impact of information found in a variety of source documents.
  • Ability to work well and communicate with various leads within the organization and to work closely as required with other functional areas such as tax, treasury, and operating companies accounting leaders.
  • Thorough understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and accounting skills.
  •  High attention to detail and accuracy.
