Job Summary:

Are you interested in a role that allows for creativity, ownership over processes, and recruiting our company's future talent? Our open Recruiter role will be just that!

This Recruiter position will also be responsible for sourcing and assessing candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating selection procedures. The Recruiter will identify external recruiting resources, manage those resources, and negotiate fees and contract terms for specialty roles. AMI is located throughout the Midwest in 7 states, and this position will be recruiting for those hourly and entry-level professional positions located in plants and offices throughout our footprint.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Coordinate with hiring managers to create job descriptions, understand the fundamental aspect of the role, and create a hiring strategy for open positions.
  • Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g., social platforms and professional networks) and specialty firms as needed.
  • Conduct initial phone interviews, write candidate profiles, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and administer any assessments pertaining to the position.
  • Create full-cycle recruiting processes, create job descriptions, and enticing social media posts to draw in candidates.
  • Develop learning and development material for managers involved in the interview process to cultivate open-ended candidate questions that elicit dialogue essential to the role.
  • Coach managers and other employees on how to effectively interview candidates and support managers in the recruitment cycle setup needed for their role, including employees used for panel interviews.
  • Work with HR Business Partners and HR Director to formulate appropriate pay, incentive, and to overcome barriers.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role
  • Bachelors degree in HR related field
  • Familiarity with social media, resume databases, and professional networks.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A keen understanding of the differences between different roles within organizations (hourly to professional)
  • Proven experience building relationships across various business groups.
