Project Engineer Intern

The Project Engineer Intern for the Heritage Research Group (HRG) will play a key part in supporting engineering projects in conjunction with R&D activity, as well as supporting projects at sister operating companies. This position will report to the Sr Research Manager – Project Engineering or a Project Engineer within the group.

Timeline: Application closes on Tuesday, November 9th at Midnight
Paid Summer Internship: May 16th – Early August (TBD)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist others with the design and procurement of equipment for projects.
  • Process design including mass and energy balances, PFDs and P&ID development.
  • Assist others to develop facility capital cost, raw material, utility, and operating costs and product sales pricing to prepare economic analysis of opportunity.
  • Lab and pilot testing of processes and equipment.

Relevant Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Office, MS Project and AutoCAD).
  • Team player
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a less structured, less hierarchical organization
  • Practical and theoretical problem-solving ability.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, preferably chemical engineering.
