PCSI Programmer

Job Summary:

This position provides technical programming, administrative and change management support for the PCSI application. PCSI is the custom-built ERP application used by Asphalt Materials, Inc.  The position takes the lead on the application development responsibilities but works as a member of the extended IT technical team (DBA's, system administrators, consultants, business analysts) to ensure the proper and efficient functioning of the system and extend the application to meet changing business requirements. This position will work very closely with the ERP Manager and External Developer. The potion will report to the Asphalt Materials CFO.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support, maintain and extend the PCSI application
  • Design, build, test and document customizations to the application
  • Modify and create new reports
  • Provide tier 2 troubleshooting support to system users
  • Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs and integrations with other systems including MS Great Plains / Dynamics
  • Work with operations, accounting and sales teams to define and implement new functionality
  • Partner with existing third-party application development and support organization to:
  • Follow, and improve, the application change management process
  • Improve the application support documentation
  • Share knowledge, best practices and collaborate
  • Assist ERP Manager with maximizing efficiency of third-party
  • (long-term) minimize third-party support by building internal capabilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Significant experience with C# on NET Framework 4.5, MVC, visual studio, Git version control, SSRS, SQL
  • SQL development, database design/optimization, JavaScript, IIS administration, a plus
  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems, like MS Great Plains / Dynamics, a plus
  • Ability to gain alignment and present a common point of view across multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success and results working with a business analyst
  • Ability to set deadlines and consistently meet them. Able to independently keep stakeholders abreast of progress, due dates and challenges while working through a project.
  • Demonstrate a track record of developing successful relationships with key client stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize individual work load, focus on delivering high quality work move barriers or roadblock.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years' experience as a programmer/analyst
  • Programming experience with C# on NET Framework 4.5required
  • Experience using Git and integration and deployment tools such as TeamCity and Octopus Deploy a plus
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality, be detail oriented and disciplined, and adept at multi-tasking.
  • Experience with ERP Systems
  • High-level attention to detail and proficient communicator.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and interpret data.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
