General Job Description:

The MarComm Portfolio Manager (MPM) develops and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, seeking to understand their current needs and anticipate future needs; contributes to MarComm strategy development in support of THG objectives; leads development of department processes related to stakeholder management and project execution; oversees the processes of project management. This role ensures MarComm is aligned with THG strategic objectives, uses resources efficiently and prioritizes projects effectively. The MPM will provide project intake and initiation guidance as well as ongoing counsel and tactical support to both MarComm and THG stakeholders. This position will bring strategic alignment and project management together to elevate MarComm's effectiveness.


Major Duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic alignment – vetting, initiating and prioritizing projects to align with THG objectives
  • Stakeholder engagement – collaborating with stakeholders to address current needs, anticipate future needs, offer strategic counsel and support tactical execution of MarComm projects
  • Resource management - planning, managing and assigning resources by assessing a project's needs relative to the skills and abilities within MarComm
  • Milestone planning – overseeing and communicating the initiation, planning, implementation and completion of projects to stakeholders
  • Standardizing PM methods and stakeholder management – standardizing common project management practices that create consistency and efficiency in our interactions with stakeholders
  • Project support – assisting in anticipating issues, resolving conflicts and removing roadblocks for projects
