Manufacturing Recruiter
Due to growth, Asphalt Materials, Inc. (AMI) is searching for a manufacturing recruiter to handle a fast-paced, full-cycle recruiting role for our hourly workforce. The Manufacturing Recruiter is responsible for partnering with local hiring managers and the internal HR team to create and implement a job-specific recruitment strategy to attract highly qualified candidates.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the successful execution of the hiring process, creating a positive experience for all candidates
- Surveying employees on the process once they begin their immersion in the organization.
- Manage and prioritize a large volume (20-30) of hourly plant operation requisitions
- Create a sourcing plan to attract a qualified and diverse candidate pool
- Support and manage content creation for event advertising and day of operations
- Recruit top talent candidates through a variety of methods, including job postings, LinkedIn, Boolean Operands, and other resources
- Qualify, evaluate and interview candidates via email, phone screen, webcam, and in-person interviews
- Work closely with hiring managers and HR business partners to create successful candidate profiles that align with company culture, experience requirements, and current applicant market.
- Maintain an average time of 45 days to fill openings by creating a successful profile for the requisitions in your assigned group
- Keep open communication with team members and prospective candidates while delivering responses within 48 hours.
- Retain an understanding of the business, growth plans, and challenges
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years of hourly manufacturing full-cycle recruitment experience
- Extensive familiarity with web research techniques such as LinkedIn, job boards, and progressive applicant tracking systems
- Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills and experience
- Proficiency with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- An avid learner and critical thinker with a natural tendency to ask the right questions to gather information to enhance the search effort
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make quick decisions with extreme attention to detail
- Understanding of labor relations as it relates to recruiting and union-represented roles
- Ability to successfully deliver on all deadlines and flawlessly execute in a very fast-paced environment
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- Construction or manufacturing recruiting experience
- Multi-site/multi-state recruiting experience
