Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator will report to the Logistics Director of Asphalt Materials, Inc. and be part of a team driven for success. A Logistics Coordinator facilitates communication between production, sales and distribution stages to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain.

Responsibilities:

• Engage and Interact with railroads to facilitate deliveries, discharge, and handling of trucks and railcars
• Partner with supply to help negotiate and manage freight rates, broker relationships, lease agreements, etc..
• Proactively monitor and manage asphalt deliveries
• Establish knowledge base of rules and regulations as it pertains to logistics
• Interact with suppliers/terminal personnel to coordinate deliveries
• Establish maintenance protocols and processes
• Registrations and Carrier Insurance Management
• Rail Support Data Entry, Railcar Repairs, Railcar Billings etc.
• Trucking Platform Systems Support (GPS, ELDs, Fuel Cards)

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or equivalent practical experience

• Experience with logistics/rail desired

• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively using broad range of influence styles to drive desired results
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey various forms of information to broad audience
• High degree of self-confidence, poise, maturity, discretion, and diplomacy
• Self-motivated and passionate with a drive for success enthusiastic about delivering high-quality work and making a difference in your function, our company, and our industry
• Have a strong ownership mentality and drive for results
• Sound problem solver who can quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel, Word, SharePoint, Access, and PowerPoint
