Learning Management System Intern
The Heritage Group is seeking a Learning Management System (LMS) Intern to support our training department as we continue to grow. The LMS is used to create, manage, deliver and report on learning and training requirements. This is an opportunity to explore a career path within Instructional Design and Human Resources. As a member of the People and Organizational Capabilities team, the LMS intern will perform daily functionality within our system, Lessonly, and act as the secondary point of contact across all companies within our portfolio.
The ideal candidate would be able to continue working at our site in Indianapolis on a part-time basis upon returning to school.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design, development and production of web-based training
- Responsible for providing daily support and maintaining the ongoing operations of Lessonly
- Address any system issues or user issues in a prompt and timely manner
- Assist Lessonly Administrator in the standardization of training content across the business units
- Maintain content within the LMS by creating and uploading modules and courses, granting access and role-based user permissions, updating course content, and running reports
- Assist with encouraging learning across companies through proactive communication and coordination of learning activities
- Communicate with various clients as needed in order to define requirements for a variety of training reports
- Prepare, deliver and manage reports as requested from various companies
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Current Sophomore or Junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Instructional Design, Human Resources, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Excel and PowerPoint experience required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage several projects at once
- Effective organization and time management skills
- High level of creativity to represent information in a format that is engaging
- Ability to communicate effectively and possess strong business writing skills
- Outstanding customer service with the ability to build productive working relationships
- Works well independently and can collaborate with individuals of varying degrees of responsibilities, including professionals and leaders outside of department or business unit
- Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Must commit to 12-week, full-time internship with the ability to continue part-time through school year
