IT ServiceNow Administrator

Job Summary:

The IT Service Now Administrator position is a strategic and administrative role within the Information Technology Shared Services group. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of the ServiceNow platform for The Heritage Group and in support of the ITIL users who consume its services. In addition, the role will be responsible for identifying and implementing additional functionality within ServiceNow to meet business needs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform day-to-day support, administration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform and associated applications
  • Facilitate and support the rollout of new applications and enhancements within ServiceNow
  • Manage ServiceNow updates and new releases to include testing, documentation, user training and implementation
  • Adhere to ServiceNow best practices and maintain system compliance
  • Review ServiceNow security ranking with SOC member and make necessary changes as part of risk analysis reviews
  • Daily, Weekly, and Monthly monitoring of health, usage, and overall compliance of the ServiceNow platform
  • Perform the following, create, configure, and troubleshoot Forms, Workflows, Interfaces, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, ACLs, Notifications, UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc.
  • Manage ServiceNow configuration to meet customer requirements but adhere to best practices
  • Facilitate/Coordinate with supporting partner with associated support or request ticket items
  • Technical lead on all ServiceNow projects

  • Intermediate experience with Web Technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize individual workload, troubleshoot and remedy problems
  • Ability to set deadlines and consistently meet them
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships between business stakeholders and IT service owners

Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent technical competency from relevant field
  • Understanding of ITIL process and ITSM functionally with ServiceNow. ITIL Foundation certification is a minimum.
  • Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow components such as Service Catalog, Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset Management, Release Management, CMDB, Knowledge, etc.
  • Basic familiarity with technical infrastructure components, terminology, and technology trends
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • 1 to 3+ years of experience with IT and ServiceNow (Developer/System Administrator as a Service Management Application
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships, and able to work effectively across many levels of organizations
  • Technical lead that will maintain and enhance the existing configured applications as well as assist in the implementation of the new ServiceNow features as needed
