IS Field Technician- Construction

We are adding a Field Technician to our IS team; this individual will provide critical field technician support to our teams working on construction projects.

The Field Technician is responsible for contributing to the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support of company's information systems; provides accurate and timely technical support to end users to ensure effective use of technology and minimize disruption to business operations.

Successful candidates will have a deep knowledge of our business and the ability to solve business problems with hardware and software applications; a customer-focused attitude with the ability to translate technical information into non-technical terms to help end users with their support needs, and the ability to prioritize assistance requests; an ability to learn and become the subject matter expert for applications including, but not limited to HCSS (HeavyJob, Forms, Safety, etc), Viewpoint, Apple (iPad, iPhones).  Travel to job sites, field offices and area offices will be required; responding to technical requests during day, night and weekend hours is also required.

Essential functions include:

• Supports hardware, software, and basic networking
• Provides User Support
• Communicates with internal/external customers
• Promotes and maintains safe work environment
• Travel to job sites throughout the state;ability to maintain a safe driving record and meet the criteria for company vehicle use

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Construction Management or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years' experience in construction operations, including IT application use, process improvement, end user support. Other industries will be considered.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Sharepoint
• Ability to obtain industry IT related certifications.
• Ability to develop relationships with individuals throughout the organization.
