Heritage Ventures Internship - Summer 2019

Heritage Ventures is currently seeking two interns to join their team this summer.  HG Ventures is based in Indianapolis at the Center, which also houses our corporate headquarters, our R&D lab, and our internal collaboration resources.  The team functions like a venture partnership, currently comprised of two managing partners and two directors.

Initial responsibilities for these interns will include:

• Screening investment opportunities
• Creating and executing diligence plans, including financial, technical and business aspects
• Structuring transactions
• Supporting portfolio companies
• Interacting directly with entrepreneurs and executive teams

An ideal candidate for this internship would be:

• Graduate student (including Master of Engineering Management Program (MEMP) student or MBA student) with a broad technical scientific background in engineering, science, or a related field with career interest in venture, entrepreneurship, innovation, technology commercialization
• Demonstrated comfort and willingness to regularly work outside the scope of the candidate's technical field of study
• Motivated, hardworking student with a passion for technology commercialization and consulting
• Knowledge of or previous experience with product or process development, finance, portfolio mapping/valuation, market research, technology evaluation and/or technology transfer is required
• Exceptional written and oral communication, time management, and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
