Human Resource Manager

We seek a high energy Human Resource Manager to help drive our HR initiatives and promote our high-performance culture in our Indianapolis Operations Office and our Sales group found throughout the Midwest region.

How You'll make an Impact

• You will partner with leaders to assess employee talent and develop employee growth plans, and create and implement retention strategies and engagement activities
• You will perform all related duties at a professional level in the areas of employee relations and labor relations to support fast-paced, complex and ever-changing business locations with employees across multiple sites and states
• As a trusted business partner and advisor to leaders, you will develop and direct Human Resources policy to align with the business strategy and initiatives
• Act as primary point of contact for employees for guidance on policies and processes
• Conduct investigations into complaints such as harassment, discrimination, and other employee concerns and make recommendations for resolution
• Provide training and guidance on employee performance reviews, the annual pay review process and succession planning
• Maintain and administer all employee personnel files and data through HRIS
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
• Develop partnerships and conduct outreach to continue to build on our diverse and inclusive culture
• Lead a Human Resource team of up to 3 direct reports

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
• 5 years plus of successful experience in Human Resources, demonstrating a proven understanding of multiple Human Resource subject areas, including employee relations, performance management and management consultation.
• HR certification, SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP desirable
• Solid understanding of State and Federal regulations across a wide range of HR functions
• Experience with HRIS, payroll systems and Microsoft Office software
• Demonstrated leadership capability
• Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment
• Sound communication, judgment, and problem-solving abilities
• Union experience preferred
• HR team supervisory experience
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (some overnight)
• Willingness to work in an office sitting or in a hybrid model
