HR Administrator

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Administrator will handle and support a variety of human resources, safety, and administrative responsibilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in educating and supporting field employees with questions or concerns on processes, benefits, policies, etc.
  • Assist in coaching and communicating with line management on changes, employment policies and procedures
  • Assist with job description creation, job postings, interview scheduling, offer letter creation, etc.
  • Assist in coaching and training managers on interview, hiring and onboarding processes
  • Ensure effective onboarding of employees by scheduling drug screens/physicals and new hire paperwork, in addition to supporting leaders in creating onboarding and training plans for employees
  • Assist in evaluating training needs, establish schedules and training materials to meet needs
  • Partnering with our HR Shared Services and HRIS team on data maintenance and accuracy
  • Administers policies and practices with guidance from the Human Resources Manager
  • Managing basic reporting and compliance for both HR and Safety programs
  • Assist with special projects and events
  • Assist in a variety of administrative tasks to support the business

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
  • One to three years of experience in an HR support role is preferred
  • Experience in the construction or aggregate industry preferred
  • Impeccable integrity
  • Maintains high degree of confidentiality/ethics
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization required
  • Ability to quickly build effective relationships of high trust and credibility, internally and externally to deliver the HR agenda in partnership
  • Excellent presence and professionalism
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient with PC and standard office equipment, including MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Powerpoint
