Graphic Design Intern

Are you a college student interested in building real-world graphic design and digital content experience with an innovative and forward-thinking team? The Heritage Group Marketing & Communication team is looking for a talented and knowledgeable designer with a passion for design, a willingness to learn and an excellent eye for detail.

Job Responsibilities

• Basic knowledge of digital content, social media content development, design layouts and composition
• Create and design digital materials, promotional graphics, and social media content
• Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadline
• Retouch and manipulate images and graphics
• Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media
• Projects include marketing and communications for campaigns, brochures, newsletters, infographics, annual reports, print ads, digital ads, posters, stationery, invitations, signs, displays, logos, website graphics, etc.
• Ensure project files are logged and maintained.
• Take photos at select events; edit and optimized photos
• Ability to thrive in an environment of continual feedback; address stressful situations with poise, understanding and tact
• Performs special assignments and other work, on an as-needed basis

Qualifications/Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to fluctuating deadlines
• Demonstrated focus on creativity and quality
• Experience with Canva and/or Constant Contact preferred
• Strong creative and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products

Education/Experience Requirements

• In third or fourth year of college program
• Prior marketing or design experience preferred
• Compelling portfolio of graphic design work
