Graphic Design Intern

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a graphic design intern for Milestone Contractors to assist the Marketing and Communications team the summer of 2022. This position will perform a variety of tasks including photography, writing copy, and basic graphic design.

Responsibilities:

• Create and design print and digital materials
• Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadline
• Retouch and manipulate images
• Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media
• Collaborate with the Creative Director and Graphic Design Manager to develop design concepts
• Receive feedback from the Creative Director and Graphic Design Manager and make necessary changes
• Assemble final presentation material for printing as needed

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals
• Strong creative and analytical skills
• Writing and proofreading skills are also required.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
• Organized, dependable and detail oriented

• Basic photography skills
• Outstanding multitasking abilities
• Proficient with the use Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or currently working towards a bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must adhere to drug free workplace and union substance abuse testing requirements
