Flight Scheduler

Job Summary

The Flight Scheduler is a key stakeholder in The Heritage Group company's air travel needs involving company aircraft, particularly the executive teams. This role is primarily responsible for scheduling aircraft and recording flight times, maintains aircraft schedule changes, as well as other administrative duties. This role requires an estimated 15-20 hours a week, with variance depending on business need.

*This role can be done remotely, with preference for candidates in the Eastern and Central time zones*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists the full-time Flight Scheduler with the daily scheduling of company aircraft, coordinating charter flights, transportation reservations and making other needed arrangements at arrival airports to ensure successful execution of intercompany travel.
  • Monitors flight activity and will use best judgement regarding last minute changes to schedule or passenger requests, and then coordinate with flight crew members directly
  • Charter-flight quoting and comparing best options for business/passenger needs, billing confirmations, and flight-details record keeping.
  • The part-time Flight Scheduler is scheduled to be "on call" on various days to give the full-time Flight Scheduler "off duty" time.

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience with the aviation field a plus
  • Extremely organized, detail oriented, and mindful of deadlines
  • Sense of urgency
  • Ability to be on call, including weekends and nights
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
