Enterprise Benefits Specialist

Reporting to the Sr Manager, HR Services, the Enterprise Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting with the daily administration of benefits, wellness, and retirement plans, such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and the 401(k)-retirement plan.

Essential Job Functions

50% HRIS Benefits Recordkeeping Responsibilities

  • Ensures accurate and timely benefits enrollment in the HRIS recordkeeping system through timely audits
    • Partnering with the Benefits QA Analyst, performs periodic audits of benefits enrollment data to ensure accuracy as it pertains to eligibility information. Works closely with vendors to reconcile/correct discrepancies
    • Supports and coaches HR Administrator(s) regarding HRIS systems training and process documentation
    • Assists with HRIS system testing/validation for open enrollment, benefits changes, and Mergers &Acquisitions activity
    • Facilitates HRIS process training for HR Business Partners and HRSS team
    • Maintains and updates process documentation identifying areas for process efficiencies and drives and recommends solutions in partnership with HR Administrators
  • Provides HR metric reporting, including new hire, data changes, phone, and case volume
  • Maintains confidentiality and the highest degree of integrity

50% HR Services & Benefits Responsibilities

  • Tier 2 Support: Assists employees with resolution of benefit-related and HR issues
  • Monitors/manages the daily caseload, delegates, and assists HR Administrators with case resolution
  • Works with benefits carriers on plan document and administration questions
  • Manages FSA/COBRA administration, vendor issues, and supports employee education via targeted communications based on plan usage
  • Administers Relocation Services process
  • Administers/Administrator of electronic I-9 process
  • Assists with the annual benefits open enrollment process by system testing, provides frequent company-wide reporting, and answers employee questions
  • Administers employee wellness program initiatives and supports program adoption by helping execute project steps
  • Supports cyclical HR processes/projects and cross-functional HR initiatives as needed
  • Meets documented SLAs and responds swiftly to address systematic issues and identifies measures to correct
  • Assists with benefit program compliance by following plan rules and completing timely audits
  • Provides general customer service support (answering phone calls and emails) to HR Administrators in times of high employee demand
  • Assists HR Business Partners with Onboarding process
  • New Hire HR overview and benefits presentation
  • Attends webinars/training on changing laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in HR) or applicable experience in benefit and compensation plans, leave management, policy, and HR cyclical processes for a mid-size organization
  • 2-4 years of experience in benefits administration or related field required where communicated benefits and applicable laws and worked within HRIS systems
  • PHR/SPHR or CEBS certification a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
