Dispatcher

The Dispatcher will report into the Plant Manager and will be responsible for the successful transactions of customers receiving product. The position requires the scheduling of customer trucks coming in and out of the operation and completion of all proper forms required. Communication and teamwork with operations, sales and customers is critical to achieving success in this position.

Job Functions:
- Responsible for ensuring trucks are weighed when arriving to and leaving the plant
- Completion of proper electronic forms and paperwork including invoices and bills of lading
- Communicate with customer contacts and truck drivers to verify accurate information regarding product orders, shipment locations, etc.
- Create, maintain and update loading schedules for trucks as well as communicate changes to plant operators
- Partner with sales employees to obtain accurate sales information to anticipate future business in order to efficiently schedule trucks
- Contact customers to communicate changes, delays or concerns and to reschedule truck runs if needed
- Work with plant operators to ensure trucks are loaded on time and with the proper products
- Collaborate with lab employees to ensure that product certifications and certification paperwork is completed before trucks are loaded
- Inform plant operators regarding sales information obtained such as duration of time that a product needs to be made and special requirements for orders
- Input necessary production, sale and shipment data into proper electronic systems
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to work shift work, overtime and to be on call for after-hours and weekend support
- Willingness to work from 4AM - 12:30PM
- Willingness to utilize Personal Protective Equipment as required when on the plant property
- Will be required to successfully pass a physical and drug test
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Experience in dispatching, truck driving or other related fields preferred
- Must be able to tolerate scents common to fuels and asphalts loading operations, as well as those of construction and maintenance related activities such as welding, painting, and tank cleaning
