Job Summary:

The Director of ITSS is a newly created role that coincides with ITSS growth and direct involvement with the BU's. The incumbent will support sustainable and profitable growth for the company by being the champion of the IT services provided to THG. Reporting to the VP of ITSS, this role will be instrumental in IT operations and IT strategic planning. The Director will create a plan to create a stable and secure environment, partner with key stakeholders to gain agreement on such plans and execute on deliverables. This position ensures maximum uptime and stability in the company's computer systems and networks. The Director will be a technical thought leader that will edify and partner with key stakeholders to understand system gaps, risks and possibilities. The role will have an emphasis on scalability, sustainability and delivering value to THG via technology.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with the VP of ITSS to set strategy and direction for enterprise architecture, enterprise technology and IT security solutions.
  • Accountable for initial construction of solutions, especially needed infrastructure like servers, databases and networking, and transition to ongoing operations team(s).
  • Work with other members of THG shared services and business unit leaders to build relationships to solve technical problems.
  • Provide thought leadership to executives in support of transformation agenda of technology function. Be a strategic thinking partner to the BU's and senior leaders to help leverage technology for business benefit.
  • Champion ITSS' operations, projects and strategic planning. This includes leading strategic discussions with key stakeholders, monthly performance review sessions and owning the annual ITSS strategic plan.
  • Set and lead the ITSS interview and performance review processes to assist in building a strong ITSS team.
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices in IT technology, development processes, IT security and architecture.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a technology leadership role.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of multiple networks, server and workstation systems and supporting operating systems.
  • Strong technical background with network design, systems engineering and management of data integrity.
  • Advanced documentation, prioritization and change management skills
  • Possess outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle proprietary and sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work in a non-controlling way to support the technology transformation agenda.
