Digital Marketing Manager

The Heritage Group is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to join our growing Marketing & Communications team. This dynamic role connects multiple stakeholders across the Heritage family of companies to marketing resources and executes and empowers branded content creation across various channels. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated and creative, with excellent communication skills.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this role deals with content creation, strategy and collaboration regarding social media and editorial content, including the company blog and internal publications. In addition to content, the Digital Marketing Manager will oversee the team's digital marketing tools.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Social Media
  • Manage The Heritage Group's social media channels (Twitter and LinkedIn) using a social media management tool. This includes content creation, curation, community interactions and analytics.
  • Draw social media content from partners in operating companies and pitch original content.
  • Advise social media strategy for THG-wide projects and initiatives.
  • Audit social media data and adjust content based on trends and analytics.
• Editorial Content
  • Pitch ideas for compelling longform content for both internal and external audiences and write stories involving interviews and research on a variety of topics.
  • Maintain the THG blog with regular posts and manage guest author contributions. Topics vary, but all reflect company values and position THG within our communities.
• Collaboration
  • Maintain relationships with those in marketing and communications and other functions across THG and its operating companies.
  • Contribute to consistent, branded external communications for cross-company initiatives.
  • Ownership of digital signage and email marketing platforms for internal communication.

Relevant Skills:

• Excellent verbal communication skills needed to maintain relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have an instigative and curious attitude and experience in interviewing.
• Creativity and diligence needed to pitch and execute projects independently.
• Flexibility needed to contribute to and sustain multiple projects at once while helping develop team parameters and culture. Ability to adapt quickly to pivots.
• Collaborative, progress-based mindset needed when providing and receiving feedback on various forms of content.
• Attention to detail needed in seeking approvals from stakeholders and following and enforcing AP style, grammar and brand guidelines.
• UI UX skills for implementing web updates and advising best practices on accessibility.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism or a related field and/or 3-5 years of experience.
• Literacy in WordPress and the Microsoft suite of applications.
• Experience in social media, blogging, and/or content creation required.
• Proficiency in photography preferred.
• Writing sample or portfolio required for application.
