Data Analyst

Heritage Construction & Materials (HC&M) is looking for a Business Analyst position that will support and expand upon the data governance strategy of the HC&M businesses. This person will help with developing robust data solutions and reports for end-user adoption using Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power BI. This position will serve a key role in supporting strategic projects for each HC&M business by collaborating with the company's subject expert(s) to uncover key areas for data improvement and by developing and implementing sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with end-users to gather requirements, as well as design and develop new Power BI reports and dashboards to drive new insights
• Oversee existing HC&M Power BI reports and help develop new processes to maximize data and report organization
• Train business end-users on the tools of Power BI
• Create analytical strategies to improve business efficiencies and data quality on the flow of data (source systems to end reporting)
• Present findings to key internal business stakeholders, including C-Level executives, for validation, buy-in and approval
• Work with substantial amounts of data, gathering, cleansing, analyzing, and summarizing
• Deliverables must be high-quality with strong attention to detail

Skills

• Knowledge of Power BI related system experience needed; SQL or Alteryx experience is a plus
• Desire to acquire detailed expertise in the HC&M businesses
• Ability to work in changing and fast-paced situations
• Can effectively present data in a way that speaks to target audience
• Excellent communication skills, good with documenting process, not afraid to ask questions and challenge the status quo
• Proven business acumen

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business or comparable field, focus on statistical or data analysis desired
• 1-3 years+ experience in data related role
