Corporate Tax Accountant

The Tax Accountant will focus primarily on State and Local sales and use taxes, Federal income taxes, State income taxes, and Personal Property Taxes. They will work closely with various Companies under The Heritage Group umbrella to ensure compliance with the various State and Local jurisdictions. Oversee State and Local sales and use tax audits and ensure accuracy and compliance.

Essential Job Functions:

• Completing and Filing of State and Local Sales and Use Tax
• Completing and Filing of Property Tax
• 1099
• Completing and Filing of Federal, State, and Local Income Tax
• Assist tax department with tax related

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 2+ years of related tax
• CPA or working toward CPA certification is
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and Explorer Internet software required. PeopleSoft, Great Plains Sage FAS and Thomson Reuters One Source experience a plus.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure
• Ability to research, document findings, and make business decisions.
