Job Summary:

This role requires a creative self-starter who is proactive, collaborative and eager to find solutions. As a supportive partner to the Marketing & Communications Director, the Communications Manager will work on both strategic and hands-on projects for internal and external audiences. To be successful in this role, the individual will have experience with writing, editing, basic email marketing, social media channel management, and website management; they should be familiar with creating communications plans and processes that bring people together; and they should be able to execute plans with precision. The role and the culture require someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and enjoys making the complex simple. Organization, flexibility, relationship building and adaptability are key.


As a specialist in internal and external communications, the individual serves as a brand ambassador, creating content and experiences that connect current and future talent to THG's work, culture, purpose and values. They will have a genuine interest in learning more about our people, companies and industries and sharing that information with key audiences in alignment with our THG content strategy.


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders to create and manage strategic communications plans and campaigns.
  • Partner with corporate communications and marketing colleagues across all Heritage companies to ensure brand alignment.
  • Serve as a loyal, dependable partner to the Marketing & Communications Director, team members and colleagues.
  • Create materials that are interesting to read and easily digestible by diverse audiences.
  • Write, edit and distribute communications, including but not limited to blog posts, social media posts, magazine articles, emails, email marketing campaigns, video scripts, executive talking points and special publication content.
  • Partner with colleagues to develop multi-media materials such as guides, video scripts, emails, postcards, flyers, etc.
  • Partner with colleagues to drive creative workflow processes from project initiation to execution, approvals, production, proofing, tracking and archiving.
  • Stay up to date on marketing and communications technologies and industry trends in these disciplines.
  • Develop analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing and communications work.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or similar field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects within longer-term communication plans
  • 5+ years of communications or related experience (demonstrated success in improving audience engagement)
