Job Summary

As our Change Management Communication Manager, you will be a vital part of the Unlocking Potential team, bringing your experience and insight to guide us through exciting periods of growth and transformation. This role is more than communication - it's about weaving together the voices, stories, and perspectives of our people to make change a shared journey, not just a destination.

You will start by spending time with key program stakeholders. You get to know people from across the Heritage family, authentically seeking to understand our work and culture. As you build an understanding of our workforce you will turn insights into action as you support the creation of content that will support and evolve our stakeholder management plans.

In this position, you'll use your communication skills to illuminate the path ahead, helping understand, embrace, and adopt change. You'll act as the bridge between the shared vision of leaders across The Heritage Group and all our smart, hardworking people - turning progress and changes into stories that inspire and resonate.

Essential Functions:

  • Stakeholder Management
    • Work with partners and use tools like Voice of Customer and empathy mapping to understand the needs, motivations and barriers of key stakeholder groups.
    • Understand key stakeholders and design strategies to build support and address potential resistance.
    • Communicate regular updates to ensure stakeholders are informed about change objectives, processes, and timelines.
  • Communication
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies and plans to promote understanding and buy-in to change initiatives.
    • Partner with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure consistent and timely dissemination of program communication.
    • Create engaging materials, presentations, and communications in partnership with the Marketing and Communications team for diverse audiences, including leadership, HR teams, people-leaders, and employees.
  • Measurement & Analysis
    • Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of change management and communication strategies.
  • Feedback & Continuous Improvement
    • Gather feedback from employees at all levels and use it to enhance future change initiatives.
    • Remain aware of best practices in change management to drive continuous improvement in change methodologies used by the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 2 – 4 years' experience in change management or related discipline
  • Familiarity with change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Strong communication, analytical and relationship-building skills. Able to use data to craft compelling stories that actively engage employees in the change
  • Experience working cross-functionally and in multiple-entity organizations

Position is based in Indianapolis, IN and will be a hybrid schedule. Qualified candidates must be located within 75 miles of the Indianapolis area.
