The Center Intern

The Heritage Group is looking for a well-organized and open-minded intern to support our Learning and Development and Center Teams. This is a great development opportunity for someone interested in exploring a career path within Event Planning and Learning and Development. As a member of the People + Culture Team, this person will work closely with and support the Manager of L&D and the Manager of Center Events in various tasks.

Timeline: Application closes on Tuesday, November 9th at Midnight
Paid Summer Internship: May 16th – Early August (TBD)

Location: This position is based in Indianapolis and will require work at The Center

Job Responsibilities:

Support L&D Team

  • Support L&D Team in hosting on-site training workshops-assist with setup, coordination and teardown; including name badges, flipcharts, participants materials, etc.
  • Transfer current L&D documents into THG Branded templates
  • Update virtual resource page with new content
  • Refresh current resources to reflect THG branding

Support Center Team

  • Support the promotion of Kids Science Camp by, managing internal communication streams, assisting with organization of camp, manage attendee roster and requests. Required to be onsite to support camp the week of July 12th, 2022
  • Assist Center Coordinator with the summer intern program by organizing events
  • Support Center Team with daily activities to include: greeting guests, ordering and delivering catering orders, room setup and building BEO's
  • Assist with the planning and execution of employee engagement events.

Miscellaneous

  • Marketing closet organization and inventory of all supplies
  • Work with Marketing and Communications team to help coordinate weekly email content that promotes L&D and Center initiatives.
  • Work to gather employee testimonials from workshops and events for a mini-video series

Position Requirements:

  • Open to all current college students and Dec 2021/May 2022 graduates
  • Ability to troubleshoot challenges that arise
  • A "go-getter" attitude willing to tackle any situation that may come your way
  • Hospitality, Events or Education major preferred
