As the Event Planner for The Center, you are the face of our organization, connecting employees, business partners and guests to resources enabling innovation, collaboration, and learning. By exemplifying professionalism and impeccable service skills, the Event Planner provides each person who walks into The Center a world-class, premium experience. Each day will be unique, requiring an ability to prioritize, multitask, think creatively, take initiative and exhibit confidence in all situations. The Event Planner brings positive energy to each interaction, resolves issues quickly and effectively, and makes everyone feel welcome and appreciated. In addition to this, you will also ensure the successful coordination of events hosted at the site. You will be responsible not only for the planning and execution of scheduled events but will also be proactive in outreach to ensure internal stakeholders and external partners understand the capabilities and benefits of using The Center.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Deliver an exceptional experience to every person, beginning with an unmatched first impression and building rapport with employees, business partners and guests.
  • Engage with other The Center support team members (IT, Facilities, etc.) to ensure a consistent service experience from all
  • Management of The Center calendar and Reserve software program for daily meetings. Be able to troubleshoot appropriately.
  • Mange vendor relationships to include catering, decorations, entertainment, transportation, etc...
  • Support Center Director and Event Planners on ancillary tasks and projects to deliver flawless execution of hosted events.
  • Lead coordination on events for THG and its family of businesses, initiatives and family programs.
  • Anticipate attendee needs and prepare against potential risks.
  • Ensure employees are using The Center and its capabilities to maximum capacity. Be proactive at finding solutions to challenges. Act as a resource and connector for employees.
  • Partner with individuals to create events that support THG driven programs.
  • Conduct Center tours for new employees and visitors when needed.
  • Provide backend support on different systems such as Outlook and SharePoint.
  • Identify clients' needs and expectations through a collaborative process of identifying concepts and themes that will make each event a success.
  • Coordinate Social Impact Tasks Force initiatives.
  • Backup to the front desk and work with Center Director for proper coverage, as needed

Relevant Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Public Relations or similar field.
  • Prior customer service, front desk, hospitality and/or administrative experience in a professional environment
  • 1-3 years', 3+ years' experience strongly preferred. Experience with event planning; corporate experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide outstanding client service at all times, including under tight deadlines and stressful on-site circumstances.
  • Demonstrated ability to hold yourself accountable to high standards in quality of work, relationship-building and professionalism - Integrity.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Exude passion for supporting others and the team to be successful.
  • Demonstrates creative thinking and problem solving.
  • High level of self-awareness and a passion for learning
  • Share the desire to have fun and establish balance.
  • Courage to take initiative in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.
  • Flexibility with morning and evening hours. Some weekends required.
