By-Product Management Program Coordinator Summer Intern

From a global view, down to the smallest detail, our web-based platform provides our customers instant accessibility to their information.

Timeline: Application closes on Thursday, November 3rd or until filled
Paid Summer Internship: May 15th – August 4th

  • Intern pay is non-negotiable and is calculated based on current academic class standing $17/hour (Freshman) - $20/hour (Senior), etc.

Location:
6510 Telecom Dr. #400, Indianapolis, IN 46278 (Hybrid: In-person + Remote)

  • Must be able to make an office commute regardless of in-person/remote scheduling

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health & Safety are the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Working as part of a Project Management team with no specific customer assignment.
  • New customer implementation support.
  • Assist in implementation to improve waste management procedures by working with client and necessary vendors.
  • Interact with suppliers in support of new and existing programs,
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure data/billing accuracy.
  • Research by-product and logistical solutions.
  • Prepare monthly/annual waste activity reports.
  • Review supplier and customer invoices for accuracy as assigned.
  • Manage supplier approvals requiring additional follow-up.
  • Direct management of specific customer programs requiring continuous monitoring.
  • Enter and maintain information within Salesforce for opportunity tracking.
  • Create items /database for customer baseline process.
  • Potential for local travel opportunities to meet with customers and tour different facilities.

Relevant Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Customer service or environmental experience or classroom exposure preferred.
  • Must be a current undergraduate Junior or Senior majoring in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Business, or related field.
