Billing Specialist

Basic Function: The Billing Specialist position is accountable for creating timely invoices and credit memos, issuing them to customers by all necessary means, and updating customer files while providing excellent customer service.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Issue invoices to customers
• Process credit memos
• Update the customer master file with contact information
• Produce invoices into billing system
• Desired Qualifications: 2+ years of billing or general accounting experience
• Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounting department
• Must communicate and follow-up effectively with Sales department regarding customer accounts on a timely basis
• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with sales and customers

Essential Functions:

• Monthly reporting to direct supervisor
• Processing monthly credit memos and the appropriate reporting
• Provide excellent and considerate customer service
• Internal and External point of contact for billing solutions
• Participate in team planning meetings
• Meet defined department goals and activity metrics
