We are adding an Accounts Payable Associate to our Indianapolis area team; this individual will be responsible for processing all accounts payable and is a member of our accounting staff.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Processes invoices.
    • Receives and reviews invoices for required approvals.
    • Enters invoices accurately into ERP system for payment.
    • Mails and/or delivers checks.
    • Meets deadlines.
  • Maintains records.
    • Compiles and maintains A/P records according to policy and schedule.
    • Processes check requests.
    • Understand and follows GAAP, and company policies and procedures.
    • Files and stores records.
  • Communicates with internal/external customers.
    • Answers inquiries via phone, email or in-person.
  • Promotes and maintains safe work environment.
    • Exhibits safe work behaviors
    • Wears all prescribed PPE.

Required Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience
  • 1 year previous experience in an accounting related position

 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to enter large volumes of information accurately
  • Ability to type and perform 10-key data entry quickly
  • Ability to understand payment processes and guidelines

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Career certificate, technical training or AS in Accounting or related field
