Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial reporting process, including general ledger, account reconciliations, and journal entries. Produce complete, accurate, timely and consistent monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
  • Ensure processes adhere to policies and internal control best practices and audit standards.
  • Design and implement operational practices that drive standardization, efficiency and automation of processes
  • Partner cross-functionally to provide excellent customer service and ensure financial reporting / data needs are being met
  • Be the point of escalation for accounting and business process owners and ensure timely remediation of issues
  • Responsible for supervising all financial reviews and audits, including reviews and audits by independent accountants, governmental agencies, customers, or suppliers
  • Manage third party providers to ensure all requirements are met or exceeded
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers as needed to resolve AR and AP issues
  • Assist in / recommend the deployment of available and emerging technology platforms to deliver continuous improvement and drive efficiencies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial information and investment decisions

Qualifications/ Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • CPA desired
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in public and / or corporate accounting
  • Ability to demonstrate technical accounting knowledge
  • Demonstrated work experience: financial reporting, cost accounting, AP/AR/credit management, supervisory experience, critical thinking, and executive presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively using broad range of influence styles to drive desired results
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey various forms of information to broad audience
  • Strong willingness to learn new systems and adapt process to take advantage of new capabilities.
  • Ability to work with and act in utmost confidentiality with sensitive company information
  • Sound problem solver who can quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP desired
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
