Have you ever thought about all of the miles, people, tenacity, grit, vision, science, and technology that goes into the roads you drive every day? These roads are packed with thousands of interesting, compelling stories.

We need an Associate Brand Manager (ABM) to join our team to help tell these stories. Due to our business growth, we are seeking a new team member who can ensure that our brands tell the right story to the right audience on the right platform at the right time.

Our story has many chapters. Asphalt Materials has several brands, locations, people, products, and an industry-leading lab driving innovation... and we have customers, a lot of them!!

Our ABM will help create and deliver the novel and engaging, compelling written and visual content for use across all communication channels, including websites, social media, trade shows, salesforce and marketing programs....for internal and external audiences alike. The ABM will also need to be comfortable with generating, evaluating and acting on data analytics.

Asphalt Materials, Inc. (AMI), formed in 1956, has been continually focused on the asphalt business since its inception. The core strength of our business is the formulation, manufacturing, and R&D of asphalt binders and emulsions. Our family of asphalt companies continually supply high quality products and services around the United States, allowing us to excel in pavement preservation techniques and construction services.

J-Band is one of the latest and most promising innovations in road construction today. It was developed at The Heritage Research Group Innovation Lab to solve road managers' most challenging problems. As J-Band grows in prominence and opportunity nationwide, this role will help personify and elevate the brand. AMI and The Heritage Research Group are part of The Heritage Group family of companies and was founded in 1930.

Skills:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to manage and own projects
  • Keen understanding of SharePoint, CRM, and Social Media
  • Ability to blend the left-brain/right-brain nuances of marketing to connect with customers
  • Technical savvy with an understanding of highly technical industries

Requirements:

  • College graduate (with a degree in technology, marketing, or business) or proven experience
  • Interest in brand building
  • Experience writing and developing marketing and internal communications content (either as a journalist, blogger or content marketer)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Deep understanding of the systems and distribution mechanisms of CRM (Constant Contact, e.g.) and social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Basic understanding and working ability with graphic design and video editing a plus

Based in Indianapolis with the opportunity to travel. Full-time position with the flexibility to start part-time for the right candidate.
