Brand Reporter

Have you ever thought about the miles, the people, the tenacity, the grit, the vision, the science, and the technology that goes into the roads you drive every day? These roads are packed with thousands of interesting, compelling stories. 

We are looking for a creative Brand Reporter who can tell the stories of the product, the people, and the lab behind the innovation. And the customers to ultimately benefit from it. Finding the novel and engaging from the world of asphalt and developing compelling written and visual content. This content will have broad use in social, digital channels, traditional sales, and marketing tactics.  All with the goal of challenging the industry, garnering attention and generating interest in what we do and how we do it.

The core strength of our business is the formulation, manufacturing and research & development of the necessary components of the asphalt business. J-Band is one of the latest and most promising innovations in road construction today. It was developed at The Heritage Research Group Innovation Lab to solve road managers' most challenging problem. As J-Band grows in prominence and opportunity nationwide, this role will help personify and elevate the brand.

Technical Savvy

Requirements:

1-3 years writing and developing content (either as a journalist, blogger or content producer)

College graduate (with a degree in journalism, English, or marketing) or proven experience.

Proficiency with G-Suite and Microsoft Office Suite

Deep understanding of the systems and distribution mechanisms of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)

Basic graphic design and video editing a plus.

 

Based in Indianapolis with the opportunity to travel. Full-time position with flexibility to start part-time for the right candidate.
