Job Summary:


The Compensation Analyst will be a key part of the HR team at The Heritage Group, reporting to the EVP of People and Organizational Capabilities. This individual will: 1) Work with the EVP to analyze, create and administer executive compensation programs and 2) work to gather and analyze data/current practices from across all of the company's business units in order to partner with business units' HRBPs and leaders on modifications and updates to current compensation programs. Qualified candidates for this position will possess strong skills in translating data analysis into business needs as well as communication and teamwork.


Essential Job Functions:

  1. Documenting all current compensation practices/procedures such as new hire, promotion, merit, incentive and then reviewing for consistency, clarity, and revision
  2. Conducting internal data analysis and reporting, trend identification, comparisons as well as overall assessment and development of compensation programs and processes
  3. Works with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that the HRIS software system meets compensation needs and is updated to reflect changes to salary structures, bonus programs, etc.
  4. Manages projects such as survey participation and analysis and compensation integration for mergers and acquisitions
  5. Partner with the HR Business Partners and HR Leadership Team to evaluate, update, and communicate compensation programs
  6. Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  7. Support the EVP of People and Organizational Capability for THG compensation strategy and administration, executive compensation and board presentations
  8. Assists HR Business Partners and other managers with compensation-related issues

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2 - 5 years of compensation related experience within a medium to large size organization
  • Exposure to executive and general compensation practice including requirements for Boards and senior executives
  • Basic experience with HRIS systems, preferably PeopleSoft
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) a plus
